7 Best MSI Laptops You Can Buy [Top Picks]

The MSI dragon shield logo is likely similar to the symbols of Lamborghini and Ferrari because they are both car producers. MSI laptops are known for their high-quality components and impressive performance.

We expect the power and performance of MSI laptops to increase with the arrival of Intel’s new 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs. Buying any laptop can quickly become an overwhelming experience.

This task isn’t made any more accessible thanks to MSI’s often confusing naming conventions. Here are some of our favorite MSI laptops, which can be used for various purposes.

Let’s examine their features closely.

MSI GE76 Raider:

The MSI GE76 Raider is not a gaming laptop, as it does not have the best specs. The desktop replacement is a laptop with Intel’s new 12th Gen Alder Lake H-series chips. The machine is robust, with an Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPU and one of Nvidia’s new RTX 3080 Ti GPUs.

If you want a laptop that is incredibly fast, has excellent battery life and is unique to our club, then you should consider adding some SSDs and a fantastic battery to your purchase. This gaming system is expensive, but it has a lot of features.

The MSI GE76 Raider I reviewed costs $4,199 and is outfitted with a 2.5-GHz Intel Core i9-12900HK processor, 32GB of RAM, a pair of 2TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSDs, Intel Iris Xe Graphics, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU with 16GB of VRAM and a 17.3-inch, 1920 x 1080 display with a 360Hz refresh rate and a 3-millisecond response rate.

The Raider is a beautiful, striking car that is both imposing and alluring. It is made out of anodized aluminum and is colored Titanium Blue. The MSI logo is prominently featured on the top of the lid, and Lucky, MSI’s dragon mascot, is shining brightly in metallic gray chrome. The glossy bottom edges of the laptop’s hinges are very flared out, giving the laptop a stealth bomber-like look with the large vents on the back, making it look even more dramatic.

Opening the laptop gives us a black surface that is cool to the touch and surprisingly fingerprint-resistant. The palm rest is positioned below the G and H keys, highlighted with a shiny diamond-cut finish.

The keyboard sits in a deep deck surrounded by speakers on each side. The dramatic aurora lighting lining the front lip of the laptop is a nice feature that attracts attention. The Raider gaming laptop is a heavyweight at 15.6 pounds.

It’s heavier than the Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition laptop, which weighs 5.1 pounds and measures 14.1×10.8×1 inches, but it’s a 15-inch laptop. The Raider is more significant than the Razer Blade 17 (6.1 pounds, 15.6 x 10.2 x 0.8 inches) and the Alienware x17 R2 (7.1 pounds, 15.7 x 11.8 x 0.8 inches). Can I have ports installed on my computer?

The MSI GE76 Raider has a lot of ports. There are two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on the right side of the SD card reader. The MSI GE76 Raider has a 1920 x 1080 display with a 360Hz refresh rate, a 3ms response rate, and a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Naturally, it’s ideal for gamers and movie lovers alike. I was in awe as I fought Hraezlyr in God of War. The massive beast’s scales had a beautiful sheen. As I dodged the yellow flashes of lightning slashing at the dragon’s claws, I could see the many cracks in the ground from its earlier attacks.

Key Features:

  • The processor installed in this laptop is Intel Core i7-12900HK which has an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.
  • If we talk about RAM, it has 32GB of RAM with dual 2TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD
  • The Display is of 17.3-inch, 1920 x 1080 display.
  • It has Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and 8.9 pounds.
  • The good thing about this laptop is that it has a 360Hz refresh rate.

What I Like/Dislike about the MSI GE76 Raider:

Like:

  • This gaming laptop is potent and delivers excellent gaming performance.
  • The keyboard was comfortable and had a soft fabric covering the keystrokes.
  • The battery life on this phone is excellent. You can go days without needing to charge it.
  • The transfer speeds are incredibly fast.

Dislike:

  • Its expensive to buy
  • The Display on my phone could be brighter and more vivid, making it easier to see in the sunlight.

MSI GS66 Stealth (2021):

MSI’s Stealth line of thin and light gaming laptops is among the best on the market. They are very portable, pack a lot of powerful hardware, and can last a long time. The MSI GS66 Stealth is a new laptop that is very stealthy looking.

For multitasking, you get a powerful Intel Core i7 processor. The notebook has a large battery, which gives it a longer battery life than other notebooks. It’s very close to being perfect. The MSI GS66 is a good gaming laptop and is also VR-ready. I’m reviewing a yet-to-be-released model that will be released in Q2, and pricing is TBD.

Black everything. The Stealth is a sleek, black tool that looks like it would be ideal for use in spy movies. Opening the notebook gives you a more extensive black sandblasted aluminum deck. The keyboard is slightly recessed in the middle of the deck. There is a large touchpad located directly below the palm rest. A large vent covers the top of the deck.

Key Features:

  • The MSI GS66 Stealth has a 2.6-GHz Intel Core i7-10750H processor with 16GB of RAM.
  • There is 1TB NVMe SSD storage.
  • An Intel UHD Graphics GPU with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU with 6GB of VRAM is also included in it.
  • A 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080-pixel display with a 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms response rate makes it perfect for use.

What I Like/Dislike about the MSI GS66 Stealth (2021):

Like:

  • This laptop has a sleek and attractive design. It is straightforward to use and has a lot of features.
  • This laptop is good overall, and it also works well for gaming.
  • This laptop has great battery life, which is perfect for on-the-go use.
  • This laptop has impressive transfer speeds, making it perfect for quick tasks and downloads.

Dislike:

  • The laptop’s Display could be brighter and more vivid, making it more enjoyable.
  • The keyboard on this laptop is a bit mushy.

MSI GE66 Raider Dragonshield:

Gaming laptops have come in various designs over the years, some being quite elaborate. I’m looking at you, Acer Predator 21x. However, most modern computers have more standard procedures, which are more predictable and uniform. The MSI GE66 Raider Dragonshield is a powerful laptop similar to the ones you missed.

MSI’s massive gaming laptop is designed to look like a fierce warrior in a battle against all other laptop designs. It has 300 protective shields to protect against a horde of simpler laptops. Yes, I do know. It looks incredible. What’s inside the GE66 Raider Dragonshield is just as impressive as what’s on the outside.

This laptop has a 10th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super GPU, making it a powerful gaming choice. This computer has a sharp, 15.6-inch display that can refresh at 300Hz, making it an excellent choice for a desktop replacement.

Additionally, its overall design and performance make it a perfect choice on-screen. The MSI GE66 Raider Dragonshield is a limited-edition version of the MSI GE66 Raider and sports an excellent cover. However, since it’s a special edition, there may be slight differences compared to the regular MSI GE66 Raider.

The white dragon stamped on the gray shield and lured me in, but the closer I looked, the more the orange chassis gleamed with etchings that captured the pure essence of science fiction space operas. The MSI GE66 Raider Dragonshield’s 15.6-inch Display has a 1920 x 1080-pixel panel that refreshes at 300Hz, which is excellent for people getting into serious eSports games.

The GE66 Raider Dragonshield’s Display is colorful and bright, but I wasn’t impressed by the laptop’s overall quality. The keyboard is frustrating because it’s challenging to type on. The keys are very shallow, the palm rest is uncomfortable, and the keyboard layout is annoying. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super GPU with 8GB of VRAM is tucked within the MSI GE66 Raider Dragonshield’s chassis. This machine is still powerful, even after the RTX 30 series was announced. I sounded the horn to raid a camp in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and achieved a frame rate of 65fps on Ultra settings while running across the water and starting slapping fools with my ax.

Key Features:

  • The model is outfitted with an Intel Core i9-10980HK processor
  • There is Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super GPU with 8GB of VRAM, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1TB SSD
  • The display has 1080p, 300Hz Refresh Rate
  • The gift box includes a mouse, a mousepad, a Dragonshield Spaceship figure, and a concept art booklet.

What I Like/Dislike about the MSI GE66 Raider Dragonshield:

Like:

  • This laptop has a beautiful design, an eye-catching color scheme, and sleek details.
  • This laptop has excellent performance and graphics.
  • The webcam is fantastic.

Dislike:

  • The Display should be brighter and more colorful to make it easy to see.
  • The typing experience was unsatisfying because the keys were too small, and the spacebar was awkward.
  • The speakers were mediocre at best. They had difficulty getting their words out.
  • This is too pricey

MSI Prestige 14 Evo:

The MSI Prestige 14 Evo is named after it collaborates with the Intel Evo platform. You may be wondering what the Intel Evo platform is. To answer this question, I often describe Intel Evo as the FDA of the laptop industry.

An Intel Evo sticker means that a laptop has been tested and approved by Intel to have high battery life, connectivity, internal hardware, and more standards. This makes consumers feel more comfortable buying a laptop that is likely to have a long lifespan.

We’ve used the Prestige 14 Evo ourselves, and we’re confident its Intel Evo badge is well-deserved. The Prestige 14 Evo features a powerful 11th-Gen Intel Core i7 processor and a battery life that’s nearly 11 hours long.

The device is sleek, polished, and light; it can be easily placed in your bag without being noticed. Prestige 14 Evo users will appreciate the helpful pre-installed photo and video editing software. The Prestige 14 Evo has some downfalls, such as a dim display and a slippery touchpad.

The Prestige 14 Evo has better test results than many of its rivals, but its appearance may not be everyone’s cup of tea. It is wrapped in a “Carbon Gray” finish that looks dark navy blue. The MSI ultraslim notebook has a reflective blue trim around the lid, which makes it look different from other laptops on the market.

The Prestige 14 Evo is a sophisticated bike that can blend in with professional environments, but it has a little pizzazz to make it stand out. The Prestige 14 Evo is top-quality tie tested, and proven resistant to harsh conditions.

This product is resistant to drops, shocks, vibrations, and high altitudes. It won’t be completely useless if a couple of accidents happen. The Prestige 14 Evo has a fingerprint scanner that allows you to securely log in to your computer without worrying about anyone else accessing it. The MSI Prestige 14 Evo has a 14-inch, 1920 x 1080-pixel anti-glare display.

Key Features:

  • The CPU comes with Intel Core i7-1185G7, a powerful processor and graphics card of Intel Iris X.
  • Its RAM is 16GB, and its storage is 1TB.
  • The laptop’s Display is a 1080p 14-inch, and its battery lasts for 10:59.
  • It is 12.5×8.5×0.6 inches and weighs 2.7 pounds.

What I Like/Dislike about the MSI Prestige 14 Evo:

Like:

  • It can quickly convert videos into other formats.
  • The laptop performance was zippy during the review process
  • The battery life on this device is decent. It lasts for a few hours before needing to be recharged.’
  • The Display is colorful and accurate, perfect for viewing pictures and videos.
  • The laptop is built to last and withstand the rigors of military testing.
  • It is built to be tough and withstand the most challenging conditions.

Dislike:

  • The layout of the keyboard
  • was not so good
  • The Display is also dim
  • If we talk about speaker quality, then it also has mediocre speakers quality.

MSI WS66 10TMT:

The WS66 is sleek, metal, and rectangular-looking, reminding me of a retro sports car. Whenever I look at this square chunk of aluminum, the image of a DeLorean (from the movie Back to the Future) comes to mind. The WS66 doesn’t look outdated – there is a subtle elegance to the simplicity of its design and boldness to the “let’s make it as rectangular as possible” approach.

MSI has released a new model of its gaming laptop, the WS66, designed for enterprise users. This laptop has several security features to keep your documents and photos safe. On the hardware front, you have an infrared camera for facial recognition, which will help you to remember your passwords and stop bad actors from guessing them. It makes logging into your system much more accessible.

There are a variety of ports on the left side of the laptop, including a USB 3.2 Type-A input, an HDMI port, a Thunderbolt 3 input next to the barrel plug connector, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port. You’ll find a full-sized SD card slot, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, and a headphone/mic jack on the right side.

The WS66 has good but unexceptional features, such as USB Type-A ports on each side and a power connector in the corner, but I was disappointed that the touchscreen display is located on the right edge rather than in the center. We found that the laptop’s show doesn’t compare to those on other similarly priced laptops, as it has an LED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, solid color reproduction, and decent peak brightness.

The Display is excellent but look elsewhere if you want the best picture quality. The keyboard is functional but has no significant faults. The keys lack the travel of a regular keyboard, but they provide crisp feedback, so my fingers move quickly from letter to letter.

The large, bold font is easy to read, and the layout is clever for business users, with a shortcut row containing keys for mute, video on/off, and quick access to the MSI Creator Center.

The dual upward-firing speakers on the deck of the WS66 are good or bad, depending on what you’re playing. The WS66 is a superhero laptop with the Hulk’s strength and Flash’s speed. This powerful workstation has a powerful Intel Core i910980HK CPU and 64GB of RAM, which give it the ability to handle any task effortlessly.

Key Features:

  • The laptop had an Intel Core i9-10980HK processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB storage drive.
  • The Display was a 1080p (60Hz) LED panel with a battery life of 10:10.
  • The laptop’s size was 14.2×9.7×0.7 inches, and its weight was 4.6 pounds.

What I Like/Dislike about the MSI WS66 10TMT:

Like:

  • When reviewed the laptop gave an outstanding performer and had great graphics. It was swift and easy to use.
  • The laptop has a long battery life, making it perfect for busy people working on projects.
  • The laptop was sleek and portable, with a design that looked very modern.
  • It is highly durable and is designed for use by the military.
  • There is decent display and keyboard. The laptop also had good battery life.

Dislike:

  • There is only one USB-A port present in it
  • The Fan of this laptop runs loud
  • This laptop is pricey.

MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo:

MSI has become well-known for its gaming laptops, but the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is designed to appeal to business laptop consumers. So far, the Summit line has been successful in meeting this goal.

For $1,899, the Summit E13 Flip offers powerful performance from its Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor and a vibrant 13.4-inch display, as well as a clicky keyboard that is durable and sleek. However, the Summit is more expensive than the Apple MacBook Pro.

The battery life on this device is not as good as some of the competition, and the speakers are also relatively quiet. Despite its flaws, the Summit E13 Flip’s premium business qualities more than make up for them.

For example, the Flip has a great camera and a durable build. The MSI Business Notebook is one of the best business laptops you can buy, provided you have the money. It’s capable of handling gaming tasks well but even better at performing office tasks. The ink is just as black and thin as it is used to write on everything else.

The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo has a sleek, black aluminum hood with a glossy copper MSI logo. The chassis is adorned with copper accents, a beautiful metal design.

The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is a business laptop with a 13.4-inch 1920 x 1200-pixel display, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate panel, a fingerprint reader, an IR webcam for Windows Hello, a webcam kill switch, a TPM 2.0 chip, and the ability to centrally manage USB ports and the microSD card slot. Its keyboard is excellent for typing.

The keys are shallow but clicky, and the palm rests are comfortably cool. The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo’s bottom-firing speakers aren’t loud and don’t pack enough bass to leave a lasting impression. The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is filled with an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with 32GB of RAM. The laptop could handle 40 open Google Chrome tabs and five high-definition YouTube videos without problems.

Key Features:

  • The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo I reviewed is outfitted with an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor.
  • There is 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD
  • You get the Intel Iris Xe Graphics chip’s powerful GPU and a 13.4-inch, 1920 x 1200 display.
  • For this price, you will get a 120Hz refresh rate.

What I Like/Dislike about the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo:

Like:

  • A laptop is a powerful machine that is capable of performing quickly.
  • There is a 120Hz display that makes it easy to see what is happening on the screen.
  • The laptop had a thin and light chassis. It was easy to carry around and was perfect for on-the-go use.
  • The laptop has a durable design and features security features to ensure your business is safe.

Dislike:

  • The Battery life of this laptop could be better.
  • You will get Quiet speakers, which is disappointing
  • This is too expensive.

MSI Creator Z16:

The MSI Creator Z16 has an all-metal unibody chassis, which creates a harmonious bond between substance and style. The Lunar gray laptop has an elegant and heavy design, but the weight is well distributed, so it feels graceful.

On paper, the weight distribution looks more severe than it feels, but it falls right in the middle of the competition. MSI ensured the Creator Z16 was secure by including a fingerprint scanner on the palm rest below the keyboard. You can sign in to your computer using Windows Hello, which uses facial recognition and a built-in webcam.

Also, you can securely power off the camera via the F6 key to keep out unwanted eyes. On the left is a 3.5mm headphone and mic port, a USB-Type C port, and the AC power port. The 16-inch near-bezel-free touch display with QHD resolution, 120Hz, and a 16:10 aspect ratio is stunning. The difference between the Z16’s 16:9 screen resolution and a traditional widescreen’s is minimal when looked at on paper, but it gives you much more room to work in.

Key Features:

  • This laptop features a 16-inch QHD display of 2560 * 1600 resolution with an aspect ratio of 16:10
  • There is a powerful processor of Core i9 with Nvidia RTX 3060.
  • In addition to the QHD display, it also has a 120 Hz refresh rate panel
  • For powerful working usage, there is 32 GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD.

What I Like/Dislike about the MSI Creator Z16:

Like:

  • The screen of this laptop is a massively bright and colorful display
  • In addition, it has a speedy performance
  • You can use heavy software with ease
  • The design is elegant and stylish.

Dislike:

  • The negative point about this is its battery life.
  • RTX 3060 GPU sometimes performed slowly during tasks
  • There is no HDMI port available.
