Get Response Review – Best Email Marketing Software

We’re drowning in a sea of marketing automation and email marketing tools that all do the same thing.

GetResponse, on the other hand, is a name that comes up a lot when people talk about email marketing software.

It’s one of those tools that has been around for a long time but still works well year after year. In this review of GetResponse, we’ll break the tool into its parts and discuss its main strengths and weaknesses.

By the end of this article, you should be able to tell if GetResponse is suitable for your business.

What is GetResponse?

GetResponse has been around for quite some time. SEO expert Simon Grabowski made the first autoresponder in 1997.

This set off a chain of events, starting with registering a year later. Since then, GetResponse has added more features and grown its staff worldwide.

Publications like Website Magazine, which named GetResponse the second-best email marketing provider in 2011, have also praised the tool.

But now, when GetResponse’s competition is much more challenging and full of bells and whistles that users love, how has it managed to stay on top?

One of the best things about GetResponse is that it keeps growing and can change.

It hasn’t rested on its laurels because it keeps giving users the best email marketing tools to help them grow their businesses.

Instead of talking about how great GetResponse is, it’s best to dive into the tool and see how it works.

Here are its main features and how they all work together to help your business make a difference.

GetResponse Key Features:

Marketing Automation

This is the plan you need if you want to use automation and segmentation in a more advanced way.

You can also access sequences based on triggers and events along with everything in the above package.

Create automated email chains where customers get different emails based on their preferences or actions or are put into different groups.

Let’s say a customer clicks on two pieces of the same content.

This shows that they are vested in this content or product category. And, based on their interest, they’ll be added to an automated process.

So, they only get the content and offers that are most useful to them.

For example, if you run a gym and find out that a customer is interested in swimming and exercise classes, you wouldn’t send them content or offers about weight training.

Not mentioning that this package also gives you access to the webinar builder would be a mistake. This package would be especially helpful for B2B and tech companies that want to nurture leads with more advanced, complex content.

Also, the plan for marketing automation includes a scoring system for contacts and sales funnels.

Email Marketing

This plan has all of the automation and segmentation features of the other two plans, plus web push notifications, abandoned cart recovery, transactional emails, product recommendations, and discount codes.

So, you can use these tools to help your online store make more money.

For example, you could use automation to send product suggestions based on what a customer has bought before or reminder emails when a customer leaves something in their cart.

This makes your automated sequences really come alive. The platform can also connect to payment processors, so you can make shoppable emails and sell things through your GetResponse website.

So, this plan gives you an all-in-one platform for sales and marketing in e-commerce.

Reporting and Analytics

You should know how well your campaigns are doing after you send them out. With the GetResponse app, you have various options for reporting and analytics.

You can see the open, click-through, and unsubscribe rates, among other things. You also get the following extras:

  • One-click segmentation: This lets you find out who didn’t read your newsletter and put them in a different group of subscribers. You can then email them again with another newsletter version.
  • Email Return on Investment: You can add a tracking code to your website’s post-sales page. It tells you how well your email marketing campaigns drive sales and helps you figure out your return on investment (ROI) in email marketing.
  • Metrics over time: This shows you exactly when your subscribers take action on your emails so that you can time your mail-outs better.
  • E-newsletter performance comparison: This shows how two newsletters are doing side by side.
  • Per-user information: This lets you see where your subscribers live, where they signed up, and which of your emails they have opened.

You can have your reports sent straight to your email inbox. Or, you can go to the reporting section of the GetResponse app and see them there.

Landing Page Builder

You can be creative with the program’s landing page builder, which can turn your traffic and leads into sales. You will once again be able to use a drag-and-drop editor.

It comes with several mobile-friendly GetResponse landing page templates and an image editor.

There are a lot of free Shutterstock photos and Giphy gifs to choose from. When you’re done with your designs, you can use AB tests to determine which landing page works best.

Then, you can share it using either your custom domain or one of GetResponse’s free domains.

After it has been published, you can also track the clicks and conversions.

Webinars: You can connect a webinar tool to your email list.

You can send invites to any group of your contacts that you choose.

With this tool, you can host as many webinars as you want under the same roof. Some of the cool features of webinars are:

You can host a webinar from your computer or a mobile app and co-host with up to two other people.

You can record webinars with just one click and share your screen or videos from YouTube.

Attendees don’t have to install any software to join a webinar.

Also, You can upload a PowerPoint presentation during a webinar.

GetResponse webinars can have up to 100 attendees with the Plus plan, 300 with the Professional plan, and 500 with the Max plan.

Paid webinars are also only possible on the Professional plan or higher.

Unfortunately, only Basic people have to pay extra to get this feature.

A limit of 100 people costs $40 per month, and a limit of 500 people costs $99.

Signup Forms

Use the GetResponse forms feature to get website visitors to sign up for your email list.

With this program, you can make custom sign-up forms to help you grow your email list.

You can make your form from scratch or use one of the templates.

You can also use the HTML editor to design your form in any way you want. You can change your logo, add custom fields to collect data, make your forms work better on mobile devices, and test different versions of your form.

You can add consent fields for GDPR to your forms with GetResponse.

You can also use reCAPTCHA to keep bots from adding to your list.

Once you’ve made your forms, you can add them to your WordPress, Facebook, WooCommerce, and Prestashop pages. GetResponse will also host your form for free, and all you have to do is share the link.

Conversion Funnel

The conversion funnel is another new thing that GetResponse has.

With this tool, the software goes from being just an email marketing program to a business solution for e-commerce.

You can use the ready-made, automated sales funnel creator to make a GetResponse funnel.

You can do several things without ever having to leave the GetResponse environment.

They include but are not limited to: making landing pages, making a product catalogue, automating your emails, making and running Google and social media ad campaigns, selling products and accepting payments, and sending emails to people who left items in their shopping carts but didn’t buy anything, and so on.

You can integrate third-party programs like Shopify and BigCommerce if you want to.

GetResponse also has many templates that you can use to make your sales funnel look how you want it to.

But you can only make one funnel with the Basic plan.

You also won’t be able to use the feature that lets you find an abandoned shopping cart.

GetResponse Pricing:

GetResponse doesn’t have a free plan, but you can try it for free for 30 days. GetResponse has three main plans to choose from:

Basic plans start at $15 per month, Plus plans start at $49 per month, and Professional plans start at $99 per month.

Prices for plans vary based on how many contacts you have, with the cheapest tier being limited to 1,000 contacts.

You can pay monthly, get 18% off a plan for 12 months, or get 30% off a plan for 24 months.

Non-profits can get a 50% discount by asking for it.

There is also something called a “Max plan” for businesses. The pricing for this plan is based on what your business needs.

GetResponse’s Basic plan is an excellent value for the money and comes with many advanced features like segmentation, personalization, and Facebook ads.

The only big thing you can’t do with the Basic plan is set up autoresponders, automatic sequences of emails sent out.

The Plus and Professional plans also have sales management tools like CRM, webinars, and building sales funnels.

Overall, GetResponse is a great program.

It has a more advanced marketing automation feature than most other options on the market.

It also does well with email marketing, reporting, and building landing pages and forms.

It also lets you host webinars internally and make conversion funnels that change based on what people do.

Even so, there are still parts of the program we like less. The webinar feature of this program is also limited to 500 people at a time.

This is a big problem for many businesses, especially big ones.

They will likely have a large audience that is much bigger than 500 people.

You should give the free trial a try. If you choose the right plan, the platform offers a lot.
